Meet Nurse Patti

Nurse Patti joined L’Arche St. Louis earlier this year as our Community RN. In this role, she has the privilege of working with all of our Core Members and House Leaders. We are excited to welcome her and glad for Chip’s help in getting to know her better!

What kind of nursing did you do before L'Arche?
My first job was in a hospital on a cancer floor. I also worked for Children's Hospital in the school district. I then worked in a urology clinic.

How did you find out about L'Arche?
I started seeing Facebook posts about L’Arche. During COVID, I watched the virtual Community Nights!

Are you married and do you have children?
I am married and have three children and three grandchildren.

How long have you been a nurse?
I have been a nurse since 1986. 37 years!

Do you live in a house or apartment?
I live in a house not far from L’Arche.

What are your hobbies?
I am learning to crochet. I also like spending time with family and going on vacations.

What are your favorite foods?
My favorite foods are steak, salmon, and pizza.

Do you have any pets?
I have a dog named Oliver. He is a black and white Boston Terrier. He is 10 years old.

What was your first trip?
I don’t remember my very first trip, but I went to the Lake of the Ozarks often.

Have you ever live in another state?
I have lived in Missouri my whole life.

Chip

Chip works at the L’Arche St. Louis office on Mondays and Wednesdays. During his free time, he enjoys watching films, listening to music, and going for walks to the neighborhood coffee shop. He has been a member of the L’Arche community since 2012.
