Just Clowning Around
This was the second summer for the L’Arche St. Louis Theater Program! We were visited by Mary Ruppert of L’Arche USA and L’Arche Greater Washington DC who helped participants discover their inner clowns. Chip was curious to know more about her and shares what he learned in this interview!
Do you have brothers and sisters?
I have two brothers and two sisters.
Where do you live?
I live in Arlington, Virginia at the Greater Washington D.C. L'Arche in Highland House.
How did you become a clown?
I was part of a performing arts program in Toronto and then studied physical theater for a year.
What is your favorite place you've lived?
Blue Lake, California. It was near the beach and the redwoods!
How did you hear about L'Arche?
My high school teacher was dating a L'Arche Assistant who told us about it.
What is your favorite food?
Fruit salad!
What's your favorite musical?
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
What do you like to do?
Clown, storytelling, ukulele, draw, paint
What's your favorite sport?
Frisbee
What's your favorite vacation?
Visiting my aunt in Italy
