A Familiar Face in a New Role!
You probably already know our community member Kathie, but now she’s working in a new role! Chip sat down with her in the office to learn more about what she’s doing and who she is. We’re happy to have Kathie continuing on our team!
What is your current role with L'Arche?
I'm the Family Support Coordinator. I hope to bring more families to L'Arche and support individuals not currently living at L'Arche. I also plan fun daytime activities for L'Arche core members.
How long have you been at L'Arche?
Almost 5 years
What do you enjoy about working at L'Arche?
I enjoy spending time with core members and building relationships with others in the community. I'm able to use and expand my gifts.
What are your hobbies?
Cooking, art, pottery, puzzles, and reading
What are your favorite foods to cook?
French Canadian pork pie (a breakfast dish) and chicken & dumplings
What's your favorite holiday?
Christmas. My mom used to cook a different nationality of food every year for Christmas!
Where is your favorite place in St. Louis?
The Butterfly House and the Zoo
Do you have brothers and sisters?
I have three brothers and two sisters.
Where are you from?
I was born in Chattanooga, TN but lived most of my life in St. Louis.
What's a fun L'Arche memory?
The St James trip to Michigan when we hung out on the beach!
What's your favorite restaurant?
Red Lobster or any seafood restaurant
