Our Development team doubled in size this week! Ellen has joined Madeline in the L’Arche St. Louis development office as the Development and Marketing Manager. She brings a lot of experience in the nonprofit sector and is excited to be a part of the L’Arche family. Learn more about her from Chip’s interview!
What's your new job at L'Arche?
I'm the new Development and Marketing Manager, so I'll help raise money and raise awareness about L'Arche.
Where have you worked in the past?
I worked at an all-girls high school in the fundraising office and helped with communication. My first job in high school was working on the Zoo train.
Do you have brothers and sisters?
I have two older sisters - one in St. Louis and one in Denver.
Do you have family in St. Louis?
I have a husband named Dan and two children (a 5-year-old and a 7-year-old).
Where do you like to travel?
I like the mountains and I also like Oregon.
What are your favorite films?
Jaws, Back to the Future, E.T.
What's your favorite ice cream flavor?
Mint Chocolate Chip
What’s you favorite sport?
Watching baseball
What is your favorite thing to do in St. Louis?
I like walking in Forest Park and Blackburn Park.
What is your favorite kind of food?
Mexican
What is the best Halloween costume you ever had?
I dressed like a bunch of grapes using a lot of balloons! But then I couldn't sit down…
