Edward’s Interviews: Intern Allison

Edward, resident and official Chef of St. James House, who does many jobs in the Community, continues his series of interviewing our Summer Interns by sitting down with Allison, a recent Holy Cross graduate who interned with our growing Family Support Program. Learn more about Allison and her summer at L’Arche St. Louis!

What is your favorite color?

Purple. Because it’s a Holy Cross color!

Anything you like to do when you aren’t busy at L’Arche?

I like to go on walks. I’ve been doing that this summer with friends and family. I like to listen to music and sing to it.

What kind of music do you like?

I like pop. I like Taylor Swift.

How are you liking L’Arche?

I’ve really liked it. It’s been really fun. I’ve loved spending time with Core Members and getting closer to them. It’s been fun to take them to places in St. Louis they are interested in, like the car museum - I’ve been here all my life and I’ve never been there, so it was cool to see it with them! We’ve been swimming a lot, too. We went mini golfing, which was fun. It’s been fun to do a lot of activities. It’s been fun to come to L’Arche events, too. I like going to Friendship Dinner and I went to ladies night - it’s fun to see everyone at those events. I’ve spent a few days at Sunrise House, too, which was fun.

What are your plans for the fall?

I will be gone, doing Jesuit Volunteer Core in Sacramento, California.
